Flixotide Accuhaler is an inhaler device containing a foil strip of blisters filled with fluticasone propionate. It is used daily to prevent asthma attacks by reducing swelling and irritation in the lungs.
Fluticasone propionate and lactose. The blister strips contain 60 doses.
Time to take effect
Flixotide reduces and controls symptoms such as wheezing or coughing at night. It will not help to treat the sudden breathlessness of an asthma attack. It can take a few days to take effect but it is important to remember to take it regularly.
How to take
Take this product as instructed by your GP. This usually requires one to two puffs, once or twice daily.
Allergic reactions can occur with this inhaler in some patients and it can also cause problems with the mouth and throat, however these can be reduced by rinsing your mouth after the use of flixotide.
