Seretide Accuhaler is used to prevent wheezing and breathlessness associated with asthma or COPD. It contains salmeterol, a long acting bronchodilator to help the airways stay open, and fluticasone propionate, a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory effects, in foil blister strips.
Salmeterol, fluticasone propionate and lactose monohydrate.
How to take
Medicines should always be taken as instructed by the GP, but generally one inhalation is taken twice daily. It should not be used to treat asthma attacks.
Mouth and throat infections (reduced by rinsing the mouth after use), increased number of colds in COPD patients and headaches have been reported. If any signs of allergic reactions, patients should speak to their GP.
