The Seretide Evohaler contains a pressurised inhalation suspension of salmeterol and fluticasone propionate to help prevent breathlessness by opening the airways and reducing inflammation. It can be used to treat asthma or COPD symptoms.
Salmeterol, fluticasone propionate and norflurane (HFA 134a).
How to take
Two puffs twice daily is the general dose of this medicine, but always follow the GP’s directions. It should not be used to treat sudden breathlessness.
If allergic reactions occur patients should speak to their GP. Other effects include headaches, muscle pains and mouth infections (which can be reduced by rinsing the mouth after use).
